The EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas fuzz sustainer pedal puts the explosive guitar textures of Wata (of Boris fame) on your pedalboard. It’s based on Wata’s favored Elk BM Sustainar pedal, delivering “heavy saturation with a gritty edge and massive bottom while maintaining a clear and dynamic tone.” Leveraging volume, sustain (fuzz), and tone controls, Hizumitas serves up a wide tonal range to explore, from dark and gloomy grind to bright, incisive fuzz. Plus, Hizumitas remains clear and articulate even at heavy fuzz settings, and even complex chords retain excellent note separation. Between its generous amount of gain on tap and its wide-ranging tone control, the EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas will satisfy your need for savage fuzz tone.
